Diepothan® offers a high-quality solution for demanding applications that require a combination of excellent physical and mechanical properties. Ideal for applications that require high load capacity and specific adjustments.
Diepothan® is characterized by its resemblance to Vulkollan® and is used primarily where tailor-made solutions for complex challenges are required. Thanks to its base of high-quality polyester and/or polyether polyols, it meets even the most extreme technical durability requirements in challenging environments such as shipbuilding or pipeline installation. Diepothan® offers a variety of different material qualities that enable resistance to microbes and hydrolysis. In addition, our Diepothan® qualities can also be used in accordance with the LfBG requirements.

Diepothan® is the right choice wherever wear resistance, high impact resilience and high resistance to tear propagation have to come together – for example for wheels and rollers, bearing bushings, stops and buffer stops, spring elements, scrapers, roller coatings or sprockets. The right grade depends on the type of load, hardness, geometry and operating environment.
Diepothan® covers a broad range from 50-98 Shore A, and up to 64 Shore D for very demanding requirements. Harder settings allow lower deflection under load and higher load capacities, softer grades deform more and provide better cushioning. The selection should not be based on the hardness value alone, but on the type and frequency of the load, the permissible deformation and available installation space, temperature and other environmental influences.
Yes. Diepothan® is available in hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant grades suited to humid and demanding environments, right up to shipbuilding and offshore applications, as well as the challenging conditions in agriculture. Special grades for the food sector are available on request. As resistance depends on the medium and the grade, the specific formulation should be agreed in advance for each application.
Diepothan® is a compact, cast polyurethane elastomer and is used for the same tasks as wear-resistant PU elastomers marketed by competitors under names such as Aclathan®, Pethane® or PURSustain®. Diepothan® can also be an alternative to materials such as Elastopal® PM, ASMAprene®, ASMAthane® or Recathan® and Elasturan®. The hardness ranges from 50 to 98 Shore A, and up to 64 Shore D for very demanding requirements; the temperature range extends from -30 °C to +80 °C, and hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant grades are available on request. Typical components are wheels and rollers, bearing bushings, stops, spring elements and scrapers. Which grade makes sense depends on the type of load, hardness, geometry and environment.
As a compact polyurethane material with good wear properties, high elasticity and excellent load capacity, Diepothan® is ideally suited for use as a covering on high-quality rollers, wheels and rolls. The broad range of Diepothan grades allows the properties to be tailored to the application and thus sets it apart from established materials on the market such as Plei-Tech®, Printhane®, Pevodyn®, Pevopur®, Pevosoft® or Extrathane®.
